Gifts and Wills

YouDeparted is not a legally binding contract like a will. However, if you specify gifts in your YouDeparted account not mentioned in your will and your Executor agrees to your wishes, there should not be a problem.

Example:
You have a will which says everything is left to your spouse. However in your YouDeparted account, you have gifted your coin collection to your friend. Legally, your spouse can keep the coin collection. However, if you have a trusted spouse who wants to follow your wishes, the spouse would distribute the coin collection to your friend.

So minor gifts probably wouldn't be a problem as long as they don't contradict the will.
